In Year 3 we have been Scientists and we have been exploring shadows. We made shadow puppets to find out how shadows are created! @Cabotfederation

As global citizens year 2 have been taking part in the RSPB bird watch. We noticed a range of birds in our school grounds and this inspired us to do the same at home! @Cabotfederation @RSPBEngland

Preschool N1 have been settling in this week and staying at school without their parents for the first time. Lots of exciting exploring taking place!

Now Year 6 do understand why char Sui is the preferred dish of Skellig! They loved tasting something new and even came back for seconds! @Cabotfederation

During our weekly lessons as Designers, year 2 have learned how to make mechanisms with a pop-up image, a fulcrum and one using a slider.

Year 6 are in for a treat! We are writing about Skellig and his love of ‘Chinese Char Sui’. We will get to taste this dish to see why he calls it the food of the Gods!

Year 5 enjoyed some real life inspiration for Writing today. We had to build shelters to relate to our narrative writing (inspired by the book “treasure hunters”). We will also use this experience to begin our next objective around instructional writing. @Cabotfederation

Year 4 created brilliant pieces of abstract art last week using all of their colour mixing skills. They also loved sharing their art with some of Year 3!

Y5 had a blast at Bristol Beacon today watching a live orchestra. Our viola players even joined in with one of the songs! We heard some classical pieces and some jazz, but our favourite has to be the performance of ‘You’re welcome’ from Moana.

This week year 2 have been looking at personal space and how we respect each other during playtime. We made a list of polite phrases to use with each other. @Cabotfederation

If Scrooge was Hindu, would he have enough good karma to have a happy reincarnation? Just one of the questions we debated as part of being Philosophers in Y5, whilst discussing Hindu views on the afterlife. Different oracy games encouraged a respectful and engaging discussion.
