I was lucky enough to begin high school during Coach Applebeeās 1st year at MV. No coincidence the guy is 6-0 (!!!) in state title games.
How good has Joel Applebee been at Mill Valley (5A)? Mill Valley coach Joel Applebee went 12-1 and led the Jaguars to its fourth straight 5A state title in 2022. The Jaguars became the first 5A squad in Kansas annals to win four straight titles. Applebee improved to 115-36 in 13 years with the Jaguars, including a 6-0 record in the state championship - all since 2015. Applebee has the state record for the most state title wins without a loss. Almost sounds made up... but it's not. #sportsinkansas
