WE WON…… TWICE! This morning, we woke up and had to pinch ourselves to make sure it wasn’t a dream – Mossgiel WON an unbelievable pair of awards at the @scotfooddrink Excellence Awards last night! In the Dairy Product of the Year category, we were up against THE two largest and most respected brands in Scottish Dairy – and Mossgiel Organic Milk took the win! To try and put across how big of a surprise this wasis hard; even on the way over to the awards dinner last night Farmer Bryce and Ashlea laughed in the car at how there was no way we’d be in with a chance against our competition. So, we settled in to finish our awesome meal of Scottish ingredients with Fred Sirieix continuing presenting all the awards – and then, something happened that absolutely took our breath away… we were announced as OVERALL product of the year too; out of all the entrants of the awards! The judges loved the freshness of Mossgiel, our journey to sustainable dairy and our approach to doing dairy differently – all the things we love too, but we never expected to collect a win like this! A huge congratulations to all of the finalists and winners, the level of passion in the room last night from Scottish food producers was incredible! We loved catching up with many of our friends in the industry too. But, we need to say the biggest of thanks to a the Mossgiel Team, the farmers we work with, our delivery partners, our stockists and YOU, our supporters. Without the support of everyone, there would never have been Mossgiel Organic Milk and last night would not have happened. Hello🤗 Last my little plum tree fruited 10kg. I made jam & chutney all sold in aid of @CRUKScotland . This year there’s not a single plum as it’s putting all its energies into growing. Apparently this quite normal. Going to look for wild plums tomorrow!
Our little Victoria plum tree fruited earlier this year, so on top of making some batches of Kefir, Dairy custard & sorbet I had to squeeze (literally) two 3kg batches of farmhouse plum cordial in b4 the fruit spoiled! A labour of love ❤️ @Millers_Larder Jean how,s your V Plums
