The kickout battle in Gaelic football 2.0 is great to watch. Donegal’s Shaun Patton was lethal at times against Kerry with some of his long deliveries off the tee - especially as bodies got tired & the game got stretched. #gaa #gaelicfootball #donegal

@Mickoconnor19 I wasn’t sure about them initially, but they’re growing on me. Defending teams pushing out to protect against the 2 pointer is definitely allowing a bit more space inside for goal chances.

Initial impressions of the ‘new’ Gaelic football seem relatively positive. 📈Scoring looks up across the board for the first round of the football league. 🟥Discipline towards referees & messing around after a free has changed dramatically. 🏐Contested kickouts are making a big comeback, which is great to see. Early days, but generally looks like more space and pace to these games this evening.
