My Dad passed away yesterday. He was suffering from Dementia, a cruel illness. My Dad was a Liverpool fan, but it didn't stop him taking me to Goodison Park when I was a young lad.
Love you Dad.
Released 51 years ago today. When asked what my favourite Pink Floyd album is. I generally reply either Wish you were here or The Wall. I usually change my mind when listening to DSOTM. What about other fans?
The only Bob Dylan studio album that The Band played on. Continuing my tribute to the great Robbie Robertson.
What to ther Dylan fans think about this album?
After some helpful listening tips from fellow Floyd fans last week, I finally fell in love with Animals. Thus inspired, I finally bought The Final Cut on vinyl. Giving it a try and hopefully a fair hearing.
I haven't played this great album in a while. It's the only Traffic album I own. What other of their albums should I buy? I'm hoping fans of the band will help me out.
I think this is a 10/10 album.
I saw them a couple of years ago and they're still a fantastic live act. They play most of this album.
What do others think?
Another album I picked up on our recent trip to New Orleans. In addition to Emmylou, you get both Albert Lee and Rodney Crowell. Her version of Poncho and Lefty is sublime. Any other fans?
Over the past two days, I have listened to three Bob Dylan live albums
At Budokan
Hard Rain
Before the flood.
The last was by far the best imho.
Thanks to all who have offered advice. Back to studio stuff for me now.
One of the finest examples of Folk music. A who's who of English Folk music royalty play on this album.
Are there any Folk music albums others would recommend?
This is the first Nick Drake album I have owned on vinyl. I had to buy it new as a good quality original copy is out of my price range. Which album should I buy next?
Looking forward to seeing Bob Dylan for the first time next month. I don't care how good or bad the show is. I just feel the need to pay homage to a guy who has brought me much joy.
This album contains 3 stone wall Zeppelin classics, but it just scrapes into their top 5 for me. It wouldn't be there without me discounting The Song remains the same. What do other fans think?
