@CUPBookshop @BBCRadio4 @CambridgeUP @CambUP_EarthSci I’m am migrating to BlueSky now. Would be great if CUP duplicated all its tweets on BlueSky - which is the future for anyone who doesn’t want to be a victim of Musk’s algorithms. X runs contrary to my book.

There's a link on my BlueSky account to the talk I'm giving in Bangor this Wednseday. I encourage all X users to migrate to BluesSKy which is far healthier and has identical funcionality without the oliagach manipulation of algorythms.

I’m reposting this on X because the CAN bill is so important but I encourage everyone to migrate to BlueSky where the debate is healthier and takes you away from X’s poisonous post-truth algorithms.

This message from @rozsavageMP seems to signal she is bowing to government pressure & watering down climate aspects of @zerohour_uk's CAN Bill. This would be a disaster for all the campaigners including MPW groups who've supported Please don't do it.

I'm on BlueSky now - which is imeasurably better than X these days - same handle as i have on X I've just posted there on our recent work on aviation with links to reports and articles. If you don't want to support a truthless future, please switch.

The content on Bluesky is so much more healthy than X. It functions almost like twitter but without the Musk algorithms - the like of which it has some built in protection against. I’m so pleased to be switching from X -which now leaves a very nasty taste.

@RoryStewartUK Try switching to Bluesky. It works exactly like Twitter but is set up with protections against corruption by vested interests like Musk. Run the two in parallel for a bit if you like. It is growing fast and the content is so much more healthy.

Please watch this and retweet. Or if you think there is a basis for thinking that this video is not as accurate and balanced as I am inclined to believe, I'm interested to hear that too.

Inflation is down but for the wrong reasons; cheaper flights and petrol. Helps those with extravagant and careless lifestyles but not those in real financial need. UK inflation falls below 2% for first time in three and a half years | Inflation | The Guardian

@KevinClimate Dave’s point would explain a lot. Such a shame to squander £1B a year this way. On your second point , Kevin, totally agree. I’ve just finished a book about that.

Yes but what matters is what will have happened to the fossil fuel extraction. Will that still be going up alongside?

Hey, so it looks like the world is going to have installed another terawatt of solar capacity in 2yrs (2023/24) That's enough to meet the electricity demand of South Korea, the UK & Italy combined Also – it took 22yrs to install the first terawatt?! 🤯

At very long last the Cumbria Coal Mine is defeated. This fight should never have been needed. Rather than an honest debate it has fundamentally been a fight for facts against fiction from the outset. Therefore all those who supported this mine are unfit for a role in politics.
