Mayor Marcus Stevenson has announced his resignation from the office of Mayor, effective immediately. Mayor Stevenson was elected to the position in Nov. 2021. According to Utah law and the Midvale Municipal Code, in the absence of the mayor, the Mayor Pro Tempore shall assume the duties and functions of mayor until the City Council selects a successor. Mayor Pro Tempore Paul Glover, who was elected to the City Council in November 2003, is performing the duties and functions of mayor until the City Council appoints a replacement.
