Lmao just seen that this is what the goal got ruled out for.. apparently this is Endo “blocking” Colwill 😭😭 theres another player on VVD and Colwill just gives up.. what a joke, plus Caicedo should have been off.
Remember Dortmund admitting in hindsight they would have sold the whole team before letting Klopp leave.. Klopps proven hes a winner, if the players can no longer perform how he asks them to they should be gone. Judge him when hes actually had the chance to rebuild.
Remember when this wasnt given in another season where we lost the league by 1 point, a season we could have done the domestic treble.. the same season Rodri got away with a blatant handball vs Everton. 🤫
If youre abusing Gini because you want Thiago you need to give your head a wobble man. Top player for us, sacrifices his own game playing the way Klopp asks him. Absorbs tactics really well and does the job for the team that he needs to do not the one he wants to. Bit like Bobby.
Frenkie is excactly the midfielder we need. Fabinho Frenkie Bellingham Thiago Caicedo Elliott midfield options is what a club of our size should be aiming for. Hendo taking the Milner role and Keita Ox Milner Jones sold or released.
Quickly back in love with a team he wanted relegating for trying to join the ESL. What happened to the passionate rant.. or was that only reserved for LFC. Excactly why Klopp had a go. Self interest everywhere. Never forget these (Sky BT Uefa..etc) are destroying football too.
Remember when we didnt sign Bellingham because we realised we needed more than just one player and wanted them all in for pre-season. Here we are 1 week away from the first game of the season on -6 players 😭 FSG/Jorg have alot to do…
#LFC
Theres still people out there that believe Klopp colluded with a lab to buy a dodgy batch of tests to get a game called off in a week where we played no league games and would have rested players anyway. All fuelled by dodgy reporting from The Athletic. Up the false positive Reds
🚨⚪️ Real Madrid are close to complete deal to sign Jude Bellingham, confirmed. Negotiations are progressing to the final stages.
Personal terms are almost agreed — Juni Calafat, crucial again.
New meeting has been scheduled to complete the agremeent with Borussia Dortmund.
“Won behind closed doors” - when 31 of the games were already played.
“Only wins 1 premier league title” - ignoring the Champions League which Pep hasnt managed in over 5 years and £1bn later.
I mean I get it, Mbappe / Valverde are not signings that are going to happen. But the fact that its genuinely laughable when top stars get linked to Liverpool is an indicator of how we’re perceived. Its like it’s absolutely impossible we can sign a superstar player.
This graphic from
@SkyFootball
showing net spend since 2016 tells alot. Outspent by Wolves and Villa who spent seasons in the Championship in this period. Similar story with Newcastle. Even Spurs who have also spent £1bn on a new stadium. Theres just no excuses for FSG.

Something that gets overlooked in modern day football is how much of an influence Klopp has had on the game and how many “average” or “unheard of” names hes made superstars. Hummells, Gundogan, Gotze, Lewandowski, Trent, Robertson, Salah, Mane…etc etc could name 100s. Legend.

Trent played nearly every game in those seasons and also racked up KDB level creativity numbers.
Easy to ignore facts though.

“Im glad Jurgen is going, weve been shit” crys are hilarious. Weve literally been storming this season when we had no right to, we had a few bad weeks mainly because nobody can finish, and all of sudden everyone turns. Too entitled, post Klopp era will humble alot of people.
Definitely hot take Twitter last night. I understand frustrations but calling out Klopp? The greatest manager we have had in decades. Before he came we were barely in top 4 never mind being upset over title races. The guys given us everything and more
Journos from Jan-April were saying it’s imperative LFC get CL footy to secure all their targets as they are planning a crazy summer. And now its the usual we only want a couple nothing major no big names. 100% club brief.
Not a advocate of campaigning for

and FSG to go, felt it was the right decision to try sell the club they backtracked and limited to investment only which still is acceptable if invested in the team. But neither is happening and FSG are not fit to run LFC any longer
Florian Wirtz and Fabio Carvalho are 2 huge talents that the club have scouted extensively and are keen to bring in. Both would be great signings. The other I heard we are really keen on is Youssoufa Moukoko. As well as Carney Chukwuemeka from Villa.

looking at Alexander Isak. Has been on radar in the past. Price might be an issue, had a decent season and contracted until 2024. More of a Origi replacement but a different type of option which the club want.
Kabak AND Caleta-Car.
Rhys drops into the youth team to replace Sepp. Nat Phillips to Marseille on loan.
Kabak in on loan with option to buy. Caleta-Car on a perm deal. Davies in as a useful bench option.
VERY unlikely i must say but its what i heard we are trying.
James Pearce with the usual FSG love in 🤢.. hes only just accepted the infrastructure improvements were funded by the club itself in reality after using it as reasons why FSG are the best in the world for years. Our top journos need to start being more honest imo.
@TheAthleticUK
@Simon_Hughes__
How did you work out “they werent required” and why isnt your headline purely about how LFC did nothing wrong as they had false positives from a dodgy batch of tests and had to follow the rules.
Tchouameni literally liked a post about not wanting to come to Liverpool, what makes us think Klopp would even want him after turning us down twice. IF he does leave, which i dont believe he will, hes more likely to go somewhere else.
All went a bit quiet on Fabio Carvalho recently but seems that one is now almost wrapped up for summer pending last few details. Another good addition to the squad!
#LFC
“CL qualification could boost budget by 50m” .. yet a team whos constantly been in the CL, got to 2 finals and won one, also won the PL doesnt have any money 🤔 .. or maybe thats what we want everyone to believe..
#LFC
Toney talking in an interview about how he would happily sit and fight for his place at Liverpool. Would be a good option as an Origi replacement but nothing more imo.
Not sure what will happen with Thiago yet, as it stands player nor club want to part ways. It would be a big mistake letting him go this season imo, his experience will be vital for the new & younger lads. Still our best midfielder when fit too, elite player.
#LFC
Said at the time that if Gakpo prevents us from signing a mid its a poor move.. if Klopp was referring to money being an issue in Jan then its mad we prioritised a LW over a Mid.
Tried to claim they redeveloped Anfield too which is a loan paid back by club & lets be honest the expansion could have been done better. Were Liverpool won everything there is recently still acting like a small club like £50m is too much & not moving for big players we need.
According to figures from The Athletic, Liverpool ranks 19th in the Premier League for net owner funding over the last five years at *minus* £37m.
I looked at what this might mean for the Reds in a crucial summer.
United fans keep referring to “Klopps 1st season” when justifying Ten Hags terrible performances. Klopp joined in October and took Brendans squad to a EL/LC final. 1st full season top 4. 2nd full season top 4 and CL final. 3rd full season title charge and CL win. Diff levels.
Its this simple ⬇️ if even £60m is too much FSG are in the wrong business. Szoboszlai wants the LFC move, we need to make it happen as Klopp has liked him for a very long time..
@joe_mediano
If we cant even afford to spend £60m on one player were finished, FSG may aswell pack up and go home. What did they think this “big rebuild” was going to cost..
If Arsenal win the league on something average like 85pts and City dont get their usual 90+ pts challenging it would be one of the most frustrating things ever
Ahh the usual backtracking doom and gloom articles are out. We went from “big backing Bellingham a priority” to “we need a big rebuild so Bellingham will be sacrificed” to “Mac Allister was the priorty and Jones is like a new signing”
#LFC
So what exactly happened to that £100m in other seasons where we had CL final runs and won trophies, partly last season too given we had alot of sales to cover majority of Nunez fee
🚨 NEW: Last season’s run to Paris was worth around £100m to the club. Missing out on the Champions League spots this season would leave a sizeable hole in the finances at a time when Liverpool’s rebuild needs to be backed with serious cash.
#lfc
[james pearce - the athletic]
Szoboszlai for a ~£59m release clause and Arda Guller for a ~£15m release clause will prove to be 2 of the most value for money signings of this window.. both because everyone else is so massively overpriced and the potential cieling of the players
If Todd spends £115m on Caicedo and £55m on Lavia they 100% get done later down the line.. let it happen, the come down will be lovely to see. They really havent got a clue just throwing bags of money around.
🤦🏽♂️ fact we didnt sign a midfielder last summer and did a panic loan last minute for Arthur who then got injured is excactly one of the main reasons last season was a shambles. So i think the real point is we should address the quality in depth issue not “Arthur needs replacing”
@IanRSalmon
@AnythingLFC_
Exactly. Makes sense to take stock and see what happens. Weird over-reaction by some people.
I love the idea that Arthur needs replacing given the fact he played the same number of PL minutes as I did last season.
Wouldnt panic too much about
#LFC
lack of business.. club seem to be waiting to get the right deals both in and out. Similar to what happened with Jota last season, who was signed quite late in, infact after the season had kicked off.
Personally seeing too many easy redemptions for FSG in this scenario. Forgiving if they sign 3 mids. It’s completely unacceptable and we need to get out of this mindset of mediocrity in transfer windows theyve programmed into us. Theres no excuse not to get Jude AND 2 others.
Today we have seen Sky paint the narrative that a “young” Liverpool team won against the odds. They weren’t actually the young ones👇📊
Average age of the teams on the pitch at the end of the game:
Liverpool: 24.09
Chelsea: 22.60
The median age of both sides:
Liverpool: 25
If we sign him i highly doubt it will be to displace Fabinho. We either switch formation or Klopp gets more out of him by using him as RCM and he covers DM when needed. A mid 3 of Fab Tchouameni Thiago would be a powerhouse imo.
Tchouameni starts 25-30 games for Liverpool from the get go. Replaces Fabinho and becomes the first name in the XI in the not-so-distant future as well.
Make no mistake, it's not a luxury signing. We need him.
🚨 EXCL: Michael Edwards set for return to sport by launching advisory business with ex-Liverpool colleague Ian Graham. Edwards will be non-exec director of Graham’s new company Ludonautics, working for multiple ownership groups + clubs

Im suprised weve left it so late already, but will be very suprised if we dont see any movement this coming week. Dont need to “assess the squad” to determine we need a CDM..
#LFC
Just back from the game. Not a reactionary opinion as I said before aswell above all else id love to see us bring in a proven goalscorer or attacking midfielder who can get goals. We really struggled in that final 3rd today and our goal was a peno. We need someone clinical..
#LFC
@JamesPearceLFC
How do you pull out of the race to sign someone youve chased for 3 years, 3 months before the transfer windows even opened. We literally wasted 3 windows waiting to sign him.. there’s absolutely no excuse no matter what rubbish reasons are given.
Few murmurs that the club are confident of securing Szoboszlai, hopefully correct. I have a good feeling it gets done 👀. Thuram id personally always said that I didnt think its one wed pursue but more reliable journos..etc suggest that might turn out to be wrong 🤷🏽♂️
#LFC
My personal opinion is the club and what it needs to get to the next level and maintain success has outgrown current ownership and ways of working. Like any Business it hits a cieling which you then have to break through.
#LFC
Neuhaus is definitely liked, not seen much of him myself.. But Gravenberch is the one the club want in that position and role in team.
Seperatley Aouar is the number 1 target for midfield (club want 2 mids).
Hes the new Gini, people wont realise how good he is and how well he does the job hes asked to do just because he doesnt score a 80 yard screamer like theyve seen him do once on Youtube
What did they think was going to happen.. offered Gordon to his boyhood club to bait other deals, head was always going to be turned. Edwards smells blood, will probably offer a signed Voronin shirt and 2 Anfield tour guest passes and get a deal done.
I also think as much as the journos have been saying our squad depth is great.. it isnt if Klopp doesnt trust what he has. Last 10 mins needing a goal against 10 men he brings on Tsimikas ahead of Minamino or Origi who wasnt even on the bench. He needs better options.
I see Jimbo is still talking about us as if were a Non League team. Names a midfielder then a list of reasons why we can’t apparently sign them unless they cost £2.50 and arent very good.
Liverpool are set to sign at least two midfielders this summer. Lots of discussions ongoing to establish what’s possible and at what price.
Assessing the contenders, why they’re admired and the chances of them being Anfield bound.
#LFC
An interesting news story for a small distraction... Wolves contacted Steven Gerrard about taking over from Nuno in the summer. Not sure if it will come off but it would be a great move for Stevie and a perfect new challenge. Wolves board are split on replacing Nuno.
Fabio Carvalho a done deal pending medical, will remain at Fulham on loan for the rest of the season. I think we get one more from this list in the summer.
Florian Wirtz and Fabio Carvalho are 2 huge talents that the club have scouted extensively and are keen to bring in. Both would be great signings. The other I heard we are really keen on is Youssoufa Moukoko. As well as Carney Chukwuemeka from Villa.
#LFC
The problem is we always just “move on” and accept its not going to happen. The problem was never not signing Bellingham, it was always wasting 2/3 seasons, poor planning and constantly being told were “poor”. Its simply not good enough imo. FSG are failing.
Wont go into all my thoughts re FSG but its clear club has outgrown their ownership model and they need to adapt or sell. But even under their current methods it shouldnt be this difficult. Constant CL qualification, CL final, CL win, PL win, sales, RedBird Investment..etc.
Personally I think Caicedo is the far superior defence minded midfielder in comparison to Rice, Kone and others that are available. Another one we should be all over given he is certainly available. Szoboszlai for the right side and thats a good 3.
#LFC
Sorry but the response to this from the journo should have been..
“In the summer you admitted being wrong re midfield and you needed solutions, your solution (Arthur) has been injured since, so are you not still looking for a solution?”

scouts have been present at Feyenoord games alot this season. Looking closely at Mats Weiffer. Signed a new contract recently, not sure if theres a release clause. Club like him.
Still seeing alot of judging potential new owners solely based on the country theyre from 🤦🏽♂️ we need owners who are competent and will provide investment needed to compete and stay competing shouldnt matter where theyre from. Qatar doesn’t automatically = bad and America = good
A CDM is an absolute must for this summer. We cant restrict Mac’s influence again. Interesting to see how Arne views Trents position aswell, personally feel he should remain as RB, but a Trent-Mac pair with a solid CDM could be great..
Ps i think nearly everyone wants Thiago (me included). Elite baller. Butttt im not going to go and abuse the players that have won us the league. Foolish behaviour.
Lautaro Martinez would obviously be a great signing.. him being on the market should be an opportunity the club look to pounce on, the type of flexibility we often pride ourself on. That said City could be a likely destination if they dont get Kane, theyve tracked him a while.
Might turn into a bit of a long thread, but just my thoughts on the current situation. I think most fans are annoyed as they (me included) see this as a once in a 2 decade opportunity to get owners who will help us sustain success and compete with the ever changing landscape of
After saving up for a player for 3 seasons in a time of record success and revenues were potentially still going to be beaten by a team with a impending transfer ban due to breaking multiple financial rules or a team who have just spent £600m+ on a stadium reno. Only us.

Olise and Kamara would he 2 good additions if we sign them, reasonable prices too if release clause rumours are correct both could be signed for around £100m.
Olise is clearly a very talented player, left footed, young and a reasonable release clause for next summer. Not sure how true our reported interest is but he was definitely someone Edwards was tracking for a long time.
Aka;
Martinez highlights at 24 - signing for Europa League hopefuls Man United
Van Dijk at 24 - playing for Scottish League Champions and CL contenders
How you know how we feel, we lost it to a point on the last day after being preety flawless all season, we also won CL PL in that time.. dont drag us into your bottlejob
Well done Man City, I know how Liverpool fans feel now. Brighton have been the better team, we can at least see where we need to bring new players in now. I’ve also got to mention the fans, brilliant this season but awful today, if you leave before the end you should stay at home
