Itâs been heart wrenching hearing of the anguish, pain and sheer waste of life the Omagh bomb caused. Itâs important we hear their stories to understand the enormity of the trauma these acts of unjustifiable violence inflicted. The victims deserve truth and justice.
Three more victims were remembered by loved ones during the Omagh Bombing Inquiry today; Samantha McFarland, Sean McGrath and Elizabeth âLibbiâ Rush.

Criticism is easy, just chastising is not leadership. Genuine dialogue and a commitment to collaborate to find sustainable solutions is a much more productive use of everyoneâs time.
đšđŁExecutive meeting: 'Rather than criticising the Executive constantly, the Secretary of State could lean in and support discussions with Treasury.' đ€Justice Minister @naomi_long called the comments from SoS Hilary Benn this week, "disingenuous" at best. đ»This morning, the Executive will meet, and the Minister told Chief Reporter @jamesgould23 she would be surprised if it isn't discussed. âïžShe says Northern Ireland needs to "move beyond" a single year of "decent funding."

Reform is about creating the stability we need, to start making this place the best version of itself for everyone who lives here. Vetoes serve the politicians who wield them, not the people subject to the consequences of collapse. Weâll keep doing the work to make it happen.
The DUP has failed to block moves by the committee tasked with exploring Stormont reform to look at removing the veto that enables the institutionsâ collapse

Working together is how we make change. Having Assembly reform progressed through the AERC committee is a positive step. The power of veto isnât held *for* you, itâs wielded *over* you. Ending the veto gives power back to the electorate.
Allianceâs @MichelleGuy4 continues to push for reform of our institutions and removal of vetoes, securing a commitment that it'll be discussed at the next AERC meeting. Itâs crucial the ability for one party to collapse things is removed and the threat of ransom politics ended.

It was an absolute pleasure to support this event for @playboard_ The report provides useful insights highlighting the important role those in the sector play and the challenges they face. Financial sustainability is a big concern as is workforce planning and support.
Immediate action needed to support school-aged childcare sector, says @MichelleGuy4. Read more:

Our determination for reform of the institutions isnât about securing a win for Alliance. Itâs about stabilising our government so we have time and space to not just fix problems, but to make this place the best version of itself for everyone who lives here.
âItâs time to end the cycle of crisis and collapse,â says @MichelleGuy4. The people of Northern Ireland deserve effective governance, and only by reforming our institutions can we achieve stability and put an end to ransom politics.

The exchanges today with the Minister were filled with deflection defensiveness. The issue is about process and not sectors or an individual school. Elected reps have every right to challenge Ministers - itâs our job.
Education Minister Paul Givan told MLAs that those who are now questioning the decision - in which he denied any role - are doing so for âpolitical reasonsâ. âĄïž
