As I understand it, security guards have no right to detain someone (Beyond a standard citizen's arrest) and can be sued for assault/battery/etc if they lay a hand on anyone. career shoplifters know this, which is why they get away with it

@alyssa_merc I do believe there is some cause for concern behind the hate, but to me it's about poor delivery and bad writing. Good example of this is DA:V BG3 has a positive LGBT message without being overbearing or absurd in it's delivery. It's done in a way that feels natural to it's world

@alyssa_merc I also believe DA:V just failed to meet fan expectations. Dragon Age is associated with dark, gritty and emotional storytelling & heart wrenching decisions and consequences. What we got was a light hearted, low stakes, quirky sidekick action adventure that just felt hollow
