We’re begging you. Hospitals across Ohio have more COVID-19 patients in their ERs and ICUs than ever before. The overwhelming majority are unvaccinated. This is preventable — the best way to avoid serious illness is the vaccine. So, get vaccinated and get your booster.
Yesterday was the first day in nearly a year we had 𝙯𝙚𝙧𝙤 new COVID diagnoses across our system.
That’s down from a high of 267 cases diagnosed on December 9.
Vaccines work.
Horizon. League. Champs.
Congrats
@coachdgates
and the entire
@CSU_MBasketball
team on a remarkable season.
You showed so much heart on and off the court.
We'd like to tell a quick story about this crew. Brief thread incoming.
Cleveland,
There are better (safer) ways to have fun than setting off fireworks every night.
Sincerely,

Cuyahoga County’s most experienced Level I Adult Trauma Center, verified since 1992, and Ohio’s only adult and pediatric trauma and burn center.
No one could have predicted a year ago that we'd be talking about wearing masks, limiting our Thanksgiving gatherings or the Browns possibly making the playoffs. But here we are.
Face mask 101.
It should cover your 👄 and 👃.
Smiling underneath is optional, though recommended.
Congratulations. You passed. Now do your part to keep our community safe.
You’re tired of wearing them, and we’re tired of tweeting about them. But they’re so important in our fight against COVID-19. Wear a mask and stop the spread.
Two things.
Wash your hands. 🧼👐
Now put them together for all the first responders, medical personnel, public health officials, support staff, etc. working tirelessly to keep us safe during this crisis. 👏

Yes, wearing a mask and washing your hands are important, but also please demonstrate patience, compassion, gratitude and love.
Today, make it a goal to connect with someone who needs to hear your voice. Yes, keep your distance. But a few kind words can make all the difference.
A new era is upon us. Today, we open The MetroHealth Glick Center, our state-of-the-art main campus hospital. The Glick Center is more than a hospital – it is a symbol of hope. It is hope that heals, and hope is here.
Extraordinary times call for extraordinary heroes.
We’re proud to call thousands of them employees here at MetroHealth. Thank you for all you’re doing to keep our community safe.
We’re in this together.
The yard signs are nice, but if you really want to show our caregivers support, wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your distance and trust what we have to say about the vaccines (they're safe, btw).
Today, employees across our system held a moment of silence to grieve the senseless loss of life and the inequities that have fractured our community and nation. We reflected on healing, justice and unity.
We’re experiencing an all-time high number in COVID-19 hospitalizations and test positivity rates since this pandemic began nearly 2 years ago. This bears repeating and retweeting: Please get vaccinated and boosted, wear masks in public and socially distance.
MetroHealth will receive a historic $42 million gift from JoAnn and Bob Glick that will work to reverse health inequities and boost community health in Greater Cleveland for generations to come.

Great news: We vaccinated 500+ people against monkeypox today.
Thank you to our patients, partners and friends who helped spread the word. More public vaccination clinics to come.
We were thrilled to welcome Dr. Airica Steed – our new President & CEO – with a surprise clap-in ceremony. As a fourth-generation nurse and an experienced health care executive, she keenly understands our challenges, our opportunities and, most importantly, our mission.

We’d like to tell you a story about three of our heroes.
This is Miss Edna Wooley.
This is Miss Dorothea Davis.
And this is Miss Gracie Rice.
Today's transition from our old hospital to The Glick Center started shortly after 7 a.m. and was completed in less than eight hours.
Hundreds of caregivers and volunteers safely transferred about 260 patients in a carefully coordinated operation.
So proud of this crew.
The second wave of hope has arrived! The first shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine was delivered this morning and we're excited to begin another round of vaccinations.
Let's do our part to help protect those we love.
We’re exhausted.
But we won’t stop. We never have.
For 183 years, we’ve protected our community against one public health threat after another: cholera, polio, tuberculosis, HIV and now COVID-19.
Help us, so we can help you. Mask up, wash your hands and keep your distance.
We are now the official health care partner of
@clevemetroparks
. We will offer health screenings at their hallmark events, fitness activities on their new app, new opportunities that celebrate the diversity of our community and so much more.

We're requiring employees, including contractors and volunteers, to receive COVID-19 vaccinations for the safety of our patients. With hundreds of millions of doses administered since last year, we're confident the vaccines are safe and effective.

If you've visited main campus at any point over the last few years, you've probably been greeted by Dennis Dickens. A kind soul, who welcomes all with a hardy, "How's it goin'?" He's more than a doorman, transporter and colleague. He's a friend and, as of Friday, a retiree.

We’re excited to welcome our new President and CEO, Dr. Airica Steed. Dr. Steed — alongside the more than 8,000 dedicated providers, specialists, nurses and staff who call MetroHealth home — will shape a future dedicated to a healthier community. Welcome to Cleveland, Dr. Steed!
Today, we start welcoming patients to our new Ohio City Health Center at

Remember this: Your health is too important to postpone necessary care.
We look forward to seeing you.
