The dataset collected proved, once again, the importance of the mobile paradigm in weather measurements, the only one able to provide metre-scale thermal maps based on ground-truth data.

The MeteoPhotos taken during the session show very well the dry and abnormally hot regime present in that area and its fierce visual contrast with the snowy high peak of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

The max positive vertical gradient calculated by the MT App indicates the presence of an area of rather strong thermal inversion, while the solar intensity indicator reached a value of 11, a rather high values of radiation, due to high altitude, season and dry atmosphere.

The temperature detected by the MeteoTracker X device ranged from 30.7° C in the Granada area to 16.9° C at an altitude of 1879 m in the Sierra Nevada mountain, which are typical summer values.
