After experiencing both great and challenging leadership in academia, I couldn't agree more. Empathy and communication skills matter.
It’s pretty wild how we’ve used the term “group leader” for decades in academia while so rarely acknowledging that this job requires actual leadership skills. It is encouraging however that this seems to be changing!

Work Diary. 3.12.24. I am writing about the turn to Travel Literature BojoClubs within a journalism education context, which I propose as an antidote to mitigate the reliance on defining the merits of an education in journalism solely in terms of producing "media professionals"
