They are very smart however the ticks she has cannot be controlled. she is nonverbal and shes in a place of being locked in because she cant express her feelings of discomfort or overstimulation. They have been working with her for years, she has gotten better but it is a slow process for them. Mind you i have been following them since before tiktok back when the community gave them a new home and their mother was working 3 jobs to support them. There are autistic ppl that are extremely violent and it’s uncontrollable no matter how much help you give them. they may be extremely book smart but they do not learn and comprehend all of our social concepts the same because it is one of the most impacted parts of the brain for all autistic persons regardless of the severity.

This is simply not true lol. My face is never burried in my phone when im walking, plenty of us have self awareness so that was a very stupid assumption which i have my own assumptions as to why i think you said that specifically to me but ill leave it alone. Back to my point, when you walk directly behind a vehicle there is no warning of your approach whatsoever ever and being directly behind means youll be immediately hit. Its also not possible to predict someone backing out alot of ppl will glance back throw it in reverse and go for it. Most accidents in parking lots (excluding people who hit cars because they simply cant park) are because the person couldnt see them bc of such close proximity.
