Before starting #SAS2024, I had the chance to explore the vibrant city of Taipei and visit the famous night market. Amazing sights and delicious food!

Last year, I had the chance to talk about -- and show off -- the fun work I get to do as a beamline scientist! Take a look: https://t.co/78vW7b2aQV
What is it like to work as structural biologist? Our Staff Scientist, @MelissaPoynor, talks about the curiosity that drives her in her work, in which she helps EMBL beamlines users conduct X-ray experiments to visualise the building blocks of life. https://t.co/Z1BOO0YCoi

Back from a wonderful week in Grenoble and the #EMBO course on solution scattering... beautiful mountain views and very motivated students that went on our new Quest and became Masters in Scattering.

Excited to see our paper out in Nature Communications!
New research from @MelissaPoynor & colleagues provides the structural basis of CDNF interaction with the unfolded protein response (UPR) pathway regulator GRP78; Suggests the molecular interaction with GRP78 mediates the neuroprotective actions of CDNF https://t.co/BZzntmOi7Z

.@DESY has us covered. They are tracking the #Swifty vibes for us, during the concert next door... any hick-ups in our data can then be explained. https://t.co/UOd5ib0lSf

Melissa had the chance to talk about the benefits of coupling SAXS to #FieldFlowFractionation for the analysis of not just proteins but also larger particles such as LNPs and nanoplastics at the iSFFF24 in Nantes this week.
Back from the #iSFFF2024. Great atmosphere with many interesting presentations and networking opportunities with amazing cheese breaks and other French specialties. I felt very much accepted by the #FFF comunity. Oh, and then there was an elephant.

Blessed to be able to work in such an amazing environment and I'm especially thankful for the amazing support from @EMBLHamburg -- the Admin, instrumentation group, SPC team and user office.
P12 now in Holiday Mode! A big DANKE to all our wonderful Users that we had the pleasure to do science with this year! Looking forward to more exciting scattering in 2024 - and hopefully our Danish elves won't play too many tricks during the winter shutdown.

Our new AF4-SAXS device to study nanomedicine and other particles nicely highlighted!
A new technology co-developed at EMBL Hamburg will help accelerate the development of mRNA vaccines and other nanomedicines. It’s the first method to directly and quantitatively measure parameters key for ensuring nanomedicines’ quality. https://t.co/zHB5LErMsW

This was such a fun week! Shout out to all the great speakers, tutors, tour guides and admin team! #EMBLSolutionScattering
With blue skies, snow and great prizes sponsored by @biosaxs we wrapped up the second part of our Soulution Scattering Workshop. Motivated by the enthusiasm of the next generation of scatters we look forward to seeing SAXS evolve further during these exciting times
