Given the grim State of the Environment report released today by @tanya_plibersek, perhaps it's finally time to increase financial support for the people you need to fix these problems? PhD students in Aus earn below minimum wage to complete ~4 years of skilled work. Sound fair?
Yes Botanists are disappearing, perhaps if there was greater financial support in research, job security and early career opportunities people wouldn't have to choose between financial security or persuing a career in such a field. via @ConversationUK
