That’s my team!!!!!!!! Finally finished the job after some one-game short weekends. Going home bruised and banged up but with some hardware!!!
Great weekend all around at Prime Event East. All our teams 2024-2027 won multiple games, but nobody had a weekend like 2024 GUAA Rise who went undefeated and brought home the chip. Congrats to Coach Bowman and the bluebloods💙

Reflecting on our year; it is crazy to think we lost our very FIRST lead all season in a championship game (in the 4th)- against a team we never played prior.

Bad day for a bad day. We lacked effort too often and not enough made FTs.
The great thing about sports is we walked away from a tough game with good grades, great health, a community full of support and the ability to work in the offseason to impact next season. When not if.

So much work left to do it’s overwhelming- but we put in enough work for win No. 1- against a very good Union program. After THREE years of rehab, it was emotional and incredible to see Thayne do her thing, I am so proud to call her family.

Well, I learned the hard way in practice today. Our starting center goes, “coach if I make this can we end practice” (20 minutes into the practice). Knowing there’s no chance she makes a BACKWARDS HALF COURT ONE HANDED SHOT, I agree.

When players show tears in the locker room in a first semester regular season game, you have something special. Down 14 heading into the 4th, with a chance to take the lead with 10 seconds left… even when I coach a poor game, our young women pick us up. A loss with a lesson.
Tough one last night to give us a 1 in the L column but we learned quickly that we have some serious fight when the going gets rough - thank you to all of our families, parents, friends & fans for your unwavering support & love during our very fun 1st semester! 🧡

Wow, there was a time we weren’t sure if she would ever play basketball again. An indescribable feeling as a coach, beyond proud and so happy for this athlete.
Congrats to Jordan Finch for being named the Fighting Tiger of the Week! She averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.0 blocked shots and 1.0 steals per game converting on 11-for-23, 47.8%, from the field in games versus SUNY Oneonta and Baruch College
