Just watched Robin Hood: Men in Tights for the first time in a very long time. I maintain that Roger Rees’ performance as the Sheriff of Rottingham is one of the best comedic performances of the late 20th century.

This was an eye opening movie for me when Sal showed it to me. Lessons in mixing the outlandish and mundane. More though, how the 90’s NJ vibe was captured so lovingly, rather than with derision. It was a breath of fresh air.
Saw Clerks on a bootlegged VHS in high school and it changed everything. As it turns 30, I'm reminded how grateful I am to @ThatKevinSmith for providing so many points of influence. Like it is with so many people, Clerks was just the beginning.

Sitting here enjoying an episode of Clone Wars tonight, particularly the Hondo the pirate, I was like…this guy is like a competent Don Karnage! Turns out the great @Jimcummingsacme voiced them both!
