@MeetJess It is hard not to become entirely cold to these numbers But this is another 1.8 living, sentient beings killed And it is both directly (because of the way they are held) and indirectly (because that is what got us into this bird pandemic) the fault of how we farm these animals

Can we please now acknowledge that there is something going on in aviation in general that needs urgent investigation? We inherited our deep revulsion of cannibalism from the Greeks - the eating of humans the ultimate mark of the uncivilized savage These days, anthropologists construct elaborate narratives to be able to claim that basically no one ever engaged in cannibalism But what they never deny is what happened before cannibalism - the killing of people This is the truly monstrous act - the ending of another's life I find it darkly amusing that we are still so obsessed with what happened to the bodies afterwards Of course, the killing part is something our civilization has always done and continues to do on a massive scale - yet somehow those who ate the ones they killed are infinitely worse

@outbreakupdates This is concerning It is very unfortunate that data is either no longer being collected or not being shared This is probably not be the beginning of an H5N1 outbreak, but it is exactly how things will look when it does happen - and as it stands we won't know until it's too late

We usually assume that everyone experiences the same reality we do But existence does not necessarily have to work that way Perhaps we each experience slightly (or massively) different realities - each perfectly suited to our life's journey

@HeyLukOverThere Everything tells me that we still will get nothing - or outright disinformation But things have gone more than a bit loopy recently - maybe for once we can get good loopy

What we are truly looking for is so much more than this material world can provide So we hope each new success or life stage will finally fulfill us only to realize that we still feel the same longing for more

It affects as all as we realize this killing is going on and accept it
