Our officers visited our friends over at Overture in Longmont last week! Overture specializes in helping adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Officers got to play games, chat, & show off their equipment to Overture members & staff! It's always a good time!

We've seen lots of snow recently & more is coming! ❄️Per Mead's code, sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours of snowfall ❄️Put snow in your yard/beside your driveway-not in the street ❄️Watch for ice to prevent slips/injuries ❄️Shovel slow & take breaks to avoid over-exertion

🚘CO's Move Over law requires drivers to move over or slow down around any stationary vehicle, including emergency vehicles, cars with hazard lights on, or disabled vehicles. If you can't move over slow down to 20 MPH under the posted speed limit when passing. Keep everyone safe!

CO law prohibits leaving vehicles unattended while running with keys in the ignition.🚗 A vehicle running with the keys inside greatly increases the chance of stolen property. An exception to the rule is remote start vehicles as the car remains locked & the keys are not inside.

Crash on Highway 66 between county roads 7 and 5. Black ice was the cause. Please drive cautiously.

As of Jan. 1, CO is enforcing its new hands-free driving law prohibiting drivers from holding a mobile device while driving. No picking up a phone to call or holding your phone while using GPS. Instead, use your vehicle's hands-free features, a phone holder, or ask Siri for help!
