@r3evans I’m only talking about her tax plan -not her campaign. In this world of hyperpartisanship nobody can acknowledge when the other party is right on a specific issue. If Braun presented this one, it likely would pass, because it was studied and addresses many of the mayors’ issues

We are at a point where Republican leadership should just admit that McCormick’s tax plan, was far superior to Mike Braun’s. It kept property taxes low while still funding city needs.. it did not defund the police, fire and schools… and it had already been studied.
Lt Gov Beckwith said “some squish senators” had fallen for “sob stories” from local government officials after GOP-controlled committee scaled back property tax overhaul. That contrasted with more sedate comments from Gov Braun on his top-priority bill.

Most people agree for the need of LESS partisanship, especially at the local level, even more so on school boards. Partisan politics should not be anywhere near school boards.
School boards should be focused on doing what’s best for our students. SB287 would shift attention away from the needs of our kids. I voted against this because our schools should be places of learning, not political battlegrounds. #INForAll

Indiana ranks 50th in the country for voter turnout. People waited as much as 4 hours to early vote in HAMCO this year. We should be encouraging more people to vote, not disenfranchising them.
Today the Republican supermajority passed a bill in committee to eliminate two to three weeks of early voting in Indiana. Hoosiers of all political stripes use Indiana’s current early voting system to make their voice heard and skip the lines on Election Day.
