Some of the best $MCD has had. Sweet Chili is better than our OG version (less sweet/more heat). Cajun was phenomenal, I know this is a weird comparison but it tastes like a Spicy Big Mac Sauce

As refunds on delivery/3PO’s are getting out of hand, here is a new one.
Sadly, this is reality for many restaurants. I see probably $600 a month PER restaurant in bogus charge backs/refunds.

Just wanted to bust this myth for $mcd. Ppl often think I am more profitable because of kiosks (savings on labor).
I actually run higher labor % now vs when we had a no kiosk footprint. In addition, our volumes are all at least $1M more in which usually decreases labor

Automation:
Automated bun toaster: still have to load buns into tubes + load tubes into cassette and press button to toast. Yes, this is a great first step but not sure this automation is for me. Two years ago they debut this and it was $30k.

They work majority of the time but it’s the time and effort. Some people use 3rd parties who specialize in this.
They even put a camera at the expo station to show what products get put in what bag to dispute “missing items”.

Today is the big day and possibly a turning point for $mcd. Due to macro economic trends affecting the restro industry today, discounting is back. If successful, it could change the guest count baseline momentum and lead into other things.

There is a drawback when you pay ppl for content as questionable content gets reactions. Instead of an honest dialogue, individuals just post more stuff that doesn’t make any sense.
Some of this $mcd data is not off by cents…it’s off by dollars. Some of these price points

3PO’s state that they do look at customers refund behavior however, it is not restaurant facing. In addition, what if you have two or three people in a household and you bounce between Uber and DoorDash. It’s very easy to scheme the refund game by using different accounts.

If they didn’t raise their prices, they would all close the next day due to negative cash flow. That’s how big of an impact this is.

His code is querying against the app - we have a feature that we can block an item from being sold, hence “broken”.
I’m not smart enough to tell you how he did it but he is attempting to order a cone, when he can’t then he can flag that location.

The concept is being launched in Bollingrbook, IL and it’s called CosMc’s

One of the most complex pieces of the QSR industry is difficult customers.
There’s a skill & mindset to dealing with these people.
95% just want to be heard. You can easily retain their business by listening.
But, 5% are unreasonable & you need to be ok with losing them.
Remember:
Never hire a GM if they have bounced around 3-4 restros in 5 yrs.
There is always a reason. Generally speaking: they perform then lie, steal & leave before you realize what’s going on. They then find a new victim & repeat.
Owners don’t let good GM’s just leave

It’s completely manual. If we run out of a product (Spicy Nuggets), we can put a product outage on that item in the register which will immediately remove the ability to purchase it from in-store, our app & McDelivery. You have to manually remove the product outage when needs be
The real story…Grimace Shake
A McD agency won the 2024 Creativity Award for the Grimace Shake, big accomplishment. Congrats. Typically in a promotion you see a bell curve, starts off slow, builds, peaks and by the time the promo ends the units start to drop off.
