As a player and as a coach, Doug Woog encompassed what Pride on Ice means, and his impact on the game will never be forgotten.

Mike (then) took me under his wing my first broadcast, Sunday January 9, 1977. I was with Muskegon on the road in Port Huron where he worked, PR and radio. It was mid-season and he wanted to make sure I, a rookie, had what I needed - phone line, lineups, stats, anything else. 1/
