Had the honor of doing 1st STEMI case in a pt with suspected COVID at our institution today. Sick, requiring intubation in cath lab. 1.-I felt peaceful knowing we were well prepared & protected. If I get infected, then nothing can stop this virus, were as protected as can be. 1/.

Happy to share few slides with MITRAL trial 1-Year outcomes presented at EuroPCR today. 1-year mortality in MViV was 3.3%, really low! For MViR was 26.7% and for MAC 33%, not much different than MitraClip in TVT Registry (24.7% DMR and 31.5% FMR). A step in the right direction.

ESC today: Of 24,415 pts (all comers) who underwent echo evaluation, the prevalence of MAC was 22%. Pts with MAC had higher mortality than pts without MAC. Among pts with MAC & MV dysfunction, adjusted mortality was two-fold higher compared to those without MAC. Good job Nahoko!
