On Saturday, a fire broke out at a hostel in Euston. A team of nine officers arrived on scene and bravely rushed into the smoke-filled building. Through thick smoke they searched for those trapped inside, led them to safety and began tackling the fire before help arrived.

Last night the Oval and Vauxhall Neighbourhood team arrested yet another Lambeth prolific offender who was wanted by the courts for a series of offences. That is now 1️⃣3️⃣ of the boroughs most prolific retail crime offenders dealt with in the past month.

Excellent work by officers tackling phone thefts in London. 👍
Instant karma for these two pickpockets targeting Londoners enjoying a night out. Our plain clothes officers immediately intervened after witnessing them dip into a bag and steal a phone. The phone was returned to the victim and both men face 16 weeks in prison.

A life saved - at least for now. I hope the 14yr old suspect is dealt with quickly and then gets diversion needed away from crime. Great work @MPSRedbridge
Recently, EA's new recruits completed targeted hotspot patrols around Ilford. Multiple stop and searches were carried out which resulted in a quantity of drugs and two knives being seized. A 14 year old boy was arrested for possessing offensive weapons.

Officers stopped a vehicle linked to gang activity, seizing a loaded handgun, knives, and drugs. Further searches uncovered more weapons and evidence of drug dealing. Two suspects were detained and charged.

Great to see LFR getting more wanted criminals off the street. Just finished at Policing and Crime Committee @ City Hall; I was able to raise the importance of this tactic, especially in helping us find long term wanted offenders, DA suspects & monitoring registered sex offenders
#Kilburn had their first Live Facial recognition (LFR) Op yesterday with great results, and it was positively received locally. 15 people identified and stopped in total, 9 of those #arrested 6x Failure To Appear 1x #drug offences 1x #theft 1x telecommunications offences.
