@Flitterkriz Spike, my man! He's *definitely* had his ups and downs in terms of writing quality (then again, what character hasn't?), but when he's written well, he's such an endearing little guy, and a great foil to Twilight's antics — just as she is to his.

@Treetabix To add on to this, the canon ending of Sonic 2 is that Sonic goes Super and catches himself as he's falling, but we KNOW he doesn't have any rings because Death Egg Zone has no rings. And we know that's the canon ending because Sonic 3&K starts with him having all the Emeralds.
