Here's another look at the flooded I-465 in Lawrence. One lane of traffic squeaks through occasionally in both directions, which is just not safe at all.
See the car in the middle of the picture? The stall in the express lane? Yeah. Both NB/SB at E. 56th should be avoided.

Northeast side (Lawrence), I-465 is *closed* in both directions from Fall Creek/E. 56th St. because of flooding. Traffic is barely getting by in the center lane on northbound, but the whole area should be avoided.
Major backups in both directions.

70 Success In The Split‼️🙌I had to drive it to believe it, and yeah. The uninterrupted connection from the west side to the east side is a huge upgrade from exiting at Washington St. and squeezing under the College Ave. bridge.

Pack a blanket or something warm and extra before you head out today. I had a dream last night I was stranded on 465 at the Flying J. and it was so cold. I was also being eaten by wild dogs, which a blanket won't protect you from, but it will keep you warm.

INDOT Dispatch says BOTH sides of I-65 are open in the North Split, including the southbound side!
This means both directions of I-65 and I-70 are fully drivable in the NS for the first time since spring of 2021!

I-465 to Reopen Early🙌😾Logic dictates that the added travel lanes to I-465 would cut down on the number of crashes in the I-69 construction zone. But as 465 drivers, we don’t just defy logic, we dig a hole and bury it neck down.
