I've emailed my senators and congressman to express my profound concern about the H-1B visa program and its adverse effects on American workers and our national interests. Below is the template I used. Feel free to copy/paste. Find your represenatives' contact info on under "Contact your member." It all takes 5 minutes. Keep the momentum going! End H-1B! America First 🇺🇸 @TeamTrump @tedcruz @JohnCornyn @ColinAllredTX @juliejohnsonTX @YRsOfTexas @TexasGOP @USTechWorkers Email Template: Subject: End the H-1B Visa Program to Protect American Jobs Dear Representative/Senator [Last Name], I am writing to express my profound concern about the H-1B visa program and its adverse effects on American workers and our national interests. As your constituent, I strongly advocate for the termination of the H-1B visa program. Displacement of American Workers: The H-1B visa has facilitated the replacement of American professionals with foreign labor, leading to job losses and wage suppression in critical sectors like technology and engineering. There have been high-profile cases where American workers were required to train their H-1B replacements before being laid off, exemplifying this problem. This practice is not only unfair but also detrimental to the American workforce's morale and capability. Abuse of the System: The H-1B visa system is being egregiously exploited by companies to undercut American wages, bypass qualified local talent through fraudulent practices, and prioritize corporate profit over American workers' well-being. Companies exploit the system by setting up operations that primarily aim to import foreign labor instead of fostering American job growth. This systemic abuse clearly demonstrates that the H-1B program, in its current state, serves more as a tool for corporate gain than for genuinely benefiting the U.S. economy. Economic and Strategic Vulnerabilities: Our reliance on the H-1B program for a significant portion of our tech workforce creates vulnerabilities in our economy and national security. By not investing in American workers, we're at risk of losing our technological edge and becoming dependent on foreign talent, which could have long-term strategic implications. Given these issues, I urge you to support legislation or actions aimed at ending the H-1B Visa Program. Terminate this program to halt the displacement of American workers and prevent further abuse and economic vulnerabilities. The current state of the H-1B visa does not align with the best interests of American citizens or our nation's future. I look forward to your commitment to ending this program and would appreciate any updates on your efforts in this regard. Thank you for your consideration. Sincerely, [Your Name]
