I had a great night celebrating LGBT+ History Month at a reception thrown by @CommonsSpeaker. It was also important to remember the injustices of the past and the sacrifices of the giants who came before us. I’m so proud to be a patron of @LGBTHM!

This is a brilliant doc marking 25 years since the repeal of the ban on LGBTQ+ people serving in the armed forces. It features shocking stories and incredible characters and will get you all fired up. Give it a watch - these people deserve our respect!

When I wrote #AlbertEntwistle, people commented on its similarities with a book called #AManCalledOve but I’d never read it! This week I watched the film version and loved it. As tears welled in my eyes, I felt proud to have written a book that people think has the same spirit ❤️

This film is a lovely study of the relationship between two very different characters and both performances are tremendous. It’s a quiet, gentle film so won’t change your life but it might make you a bit more compassionate and understanding. I really enjoyed it ❤️ #arealpain
