Feel like I'm out of the loop here but do people have hard numbers on Noctis being the best selling DLC or statement from Harada? AK & Julia had far more rep in tournaments and online. And if it counts for anything, user-extracted data showed they had higher usage than Noctis
And then I see “We’ll they mostly use their hands!” then they defend Noctis the best selling DLC with “He at least used hands a little more than Clive” Like where’s the cutoff? How often or far are the goal posts gonna be moved?

@Toxin45 @erinluvstortas @karakuratownnpc Kaz only learns of that in T7. Growing up, as far as Kaz knows he goes through Hei murdering his mom, grandfather and being left for dead after being tossed off a cliff. All that is just to explain why Kaz turned out the way he did.

@Raycortex @redrummarts Eh the recon ruins a lot here. Pre-retcon Hei does it to see if Kaz is a worthy heir, which leads to Kaz striking a deal with the devil. This is infinitely more compelling & grants both chars agency as opposed to: Hei just had to yeet Kaz because that's his devil gene litmus test

@Draven_TK @Shinobikun904 I'm not sure about the forced-transition on b1 being good. It's severely limiting. Before you could do stuff like b1 -> b1 or b1 into movement or raw stance which gave a higher degree for conditioning, baiting whiffs, CH-fishing etc. Now you're forced to commit to a so-so mix.

@T_Boneless @yourwifeson @TommyKairaTK You could ask that about several characters. Julia and especially AK have long been very popular characters, yet they've been benched a 2nd time. Azu is not a Chloe replacement, her gameplay is wildly different. She got pigeonholed for being "dancing girl people find annoying"

These takes are overly reductive. Who creates hype moments that inspire more people to pick up the game? Who keeps activity numbers up years after launch? Who discovers new tech? Makes all the memes, combo videos, guides & breakdowns? Its an ecosystem & everyone plays a part
@Harada_TEKKEN Devs should prioritize casual players the most since they are the ones who're buying the games. Please don't prioritize tournament players unusual opinions

@AbdouBoura61210 @Diaphone_ There are passionate people who frankly don't care about results. More of the older heads in my scene are like this. Crazy good at multiple games but zero interest in "being the best". All in purely for love of the game. If it stops being fun they move to something else
