Another one I feel deep in my soul: ALWAYS ASK BEFORE TOUCHING ITEMS/DISPLAYS!! I've had a sign up with a suit I was selling saying 'PLEASE DO BOT TOUCH' and the amount of people that just went ahead and touched/petted/booped them was astronomical 🙃

Stuff like this consistently showing up at furcons makes me wonder what the real vetting process is like because if they're going through each of us, someone looked at them with their own eyes, and said this was more worthy of a table than an individual artist/crafter
Like six tables worth of space that could’ve been taken by fursuit makers, artists, plush makers, instead it’s just imported merch. Personal opinion, I don’t like seeing stuff like this at my furry cons

Most specifics of what he said: claimed to collect suits, that I used 'beginner techniques', nose was crooked, touching it everywhere without asking before hand, etc.
To top it off, he left with saying that I'll 'get there some day' in referring to being a good maker :^)

There is no 'wrong way' of making a fursuit when it doesn't harm the performer. Fursuit making is not an exact science by any means and there is no standard.

I rarely ever know a person's size until I get their DTD if they're getting a fullsuit from me. I used about the same amount of fur for my suits (being 260lbs+) that I do for pretty much anyone else's suit. One yard of fur covers a lot more than you truly think
