The University never wondered "Where are we going to house illegal immigrants?" when ICE comes @SpeakerVos said.

Because you know why there are poor white people, there are white people who go to a school where they have really low graduation rates. And you know what, if we only focus on race, we are doing a disservice to the entire country and university system.

If you work at the University you don't have to even do market research or ever publish a paper. Professor moderator says "you can get ride of tenure if you triple my salary"

@SpeakerVos @repvos said they should've gotten rid of tenure at ALL UNIVERSITIES because it gives "freedom of laziness" in order to be more nimble with hiring and firing like tech colleges. "If every other college offers tenure and we don't, we won't get anyone."

Why are we in the 43rd in the nation in terms of legislature funding per student. @repvos @SpeakerVos agrees that’s an argument for more state funding. Technical colleges in Wisconsin would be 5th in the nation.

To have this massive tuition increase over 4 years and then find out there was all this leftover University slush money put a sour taste in our mouth.

Tommy Thompson said something very similar recently. He likes having all cultures on campus but believes things are only fair with merit based applications. This is also relevant with the turnover of affirmative action.

@SpeakerVos said Democrats (and most people in politics) can't admit they were wrong and Democrats were wrong not to give UW-Madison autonomy.

We changed it to having two people from every congressional district. You don’t find the same level of people with influence, you find people who fit the demographic.
