What matters to you most? (Asking myself) 🤔
The idea of perfect balance is the wrong goal. -Stop trying to be great at everything -Figure out what matters to you most -Evaluate tradeoffs -Communicate with loved ones -Direct your energy accordingly -Adjust over time Drop the weight of balance and see how you feel.

Same. I look at the patient, gesture toward the visitor and say, “And this is your….” And let them fill in the blank. I then tell the visitor it’s nice to meet them. Pays in dividends.
Pro tip: Don't ever assume the role of a person in a patient's room. I've asked "Is this your daughter?" ...it was his son. I've asked "is this your wife?" ...it was his daughter. It can get awkward. Now I say, "And you are his...?"
