And we’re live. My book on the strategy of regional great power competition (with plenty for the naval power and WWI enthusiasts) is now available in print and electronic form from @MC_UPress. Very honored to be publishing with them. Thanks also to @ElbridgeColby, @PatPorter76, @JJCarafano, @DavidBe31099196, and Nadia Schadlow for their endorsements. Honored to meet with their approval as well. Get ‘em while they’re hot!

@newcurrency K but UBI will be run by governments in thrall to giant funds like BlackRock. Nothing decentralized about it.

@newcurrency What things are moving to make power less arbitrary? Centralized control of anything is arbitrary.

@newcurrency It will always be conditional on somebody’s social credit metric. That’s the problem with all of these bright ideas: Either there’s no lever to pull, or the person with the leverage becomes the problem.

@codechallenged Lot of reset buttons you’d have to push to change that. Some that are out of reach.

@EdStrayker If I told you that AI was just an attempt to feudalize the world, I’d probably be too simplistic…but maybe not as much as some people think.
🚨🇺🇸BREAKING: RFK Jr: "There's three giant corporations: BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard." "They've now decided to buy every single family home in America... They literally are trying to buy everything." "Larry Fink, the CEO of BlackRock, is on the board of the World Economic Forum, and they've said we want this Great Reset, which is you will own nothing and you will be happy." "And because they have a huge bank book... your kids do not have a chance to buy that home, because they can't outcompete BlackRock."

@ringofsour The fraction of the population positioned to take advantage of the opportunities afforded by AI, if there even are any over the long run, is probably a fraction of one percent.

@newcurrency We may end up with UBI, but it will look like 2020 on steroids: A petty elite class doing nothing with their time and deciding whose income deserves to get docked today for noncompliance with ever-shifting consensus. It’s a dystopia.
