So the title might be a bit bombastic, but if this isn't one of the most incredible glimpses of a future way of creating and rendering 3D.. I don't know what is. This was sculpted on my PS5 in mere minutes and transformed as I was sculpting, through a "Real-time Latent Consistency Model". Sony, you should reconsidder your plans for Dreams and make a Dreams V2 with generative AI or sell it to someone that will.. just saying ♥️ No other 3D tool would allow me to sculpt this freely which turns out to be a super-power in the land of AI. #madeindreams #ai

@CassellDesigns Well I get your point but I don't agree. A game company can't claim copyright infringement because I made the same bit of Amsterdam they did.. a derivative maybe? If I used something directly from their game, sure..

@CassellDesigns So if I was inspired by seeing Times Square in a Marvel film, found references from the real Times Square online, and created a piece of artwork based on that.. Are you saying I couldn't copyright that either? It's perfectly legal to use references you haven't created yourself..

@CassellDesigns Fine with agreeing to disagree ofc.. but I still think this would qualify for copyright.

@CassellDesigns It's just as much built referencing the real Amsterdam.. so I don't see why it shouldn't be copyrightable?

@REVOLVO_OCELOTS Yeah it's inspired by their amsterdam sequence.. Wanted to see if I could recreate a similar setting in Dreams on my Ps5 building everything from scratch :D

@jongranskog Thanks! Yeah we have so many great ways to communicate very efficiently visually. The best use of Gen AI is when it augments those skills imo!

@techhalla Thanks man! A lot of people seem to think the future of human creativity in a time of Gen AI is limited. I think the opposite😀

@NigelHiggs7 Yes sure, the camera movement is made in the 3d scene I use as a base so I can do any type of camera movement there. But the resulting AI render wouldn't be the same because of the way these systems currently work. A question of time I'm sure :-)

RT @CoffeeVectors: Took a simple fluid sim scene that I set up in Blender using a python script made in o3-mini. And then I ran it through…

@rewinderontan @DaluzLuciano That's not how I read it. AFAIK as long as creative elements from the original carry over, it falls under this ruling.

@GeorgeCrudo Oh come on.. so many other elements persist in the ai version. If the vine if its of such great importance, I'm sure a few more Ai "renders" would result in a version where that's intact.
