MSCO responding to major disturbance at Sandy Pines Juvenile Treatment Center. At least 8 juveniles have escaped the facility. Deputies are searching for the escapees. Residents in the Tequesta area are asked to be on alert. Call 911 if you see or hear anything suspicious.

SWAT team members of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office are working a double homicide at Cedar Pointe Condos off East Ocean Bl. Suspect is in custody. No further threat to the community exists. Sheriff’s Office detectives are taking over the investigation.

MCSO investigating an early morning shooting that occurred on a stretch of I95 between Hobe Sound and Palm City. One victim was hospitalized. The suspect had self inflicted gunshot wound, and is in custody. Injuries appear to be non life threatening.
