@6oli66 @CityofEdmonton @AmarjeetSohiYEG Perhaps if they didn't do things like dump windrows on sidewalks, then have to pay a second crew to move them to the centre median, and just did things right the first time, they could stretch the budget further?

@YegBonnie They're often very used to domestic dog traffic and not very fearful. Usually there's a couple other waiting in the winds. If you can desensitize your dog to a canned air horn, they're usually very effective on coyotes.

@mousejcm I have bags of stuff to take to the donation drop off place. I just seem to lack the motivation to load them all up and go.

@michaeljanz Still waiting to hear how you plan on bringing the older neighborhoods up to accessibility standards. Those new communities are the only places where barrier free seems to be the norm.

@Eh_Canadaian @MarkCherrington They could have simply raised the amount a person on AISH receives before clawing it back. It could have been simple. And they could have raised the income threshold on the Alberta Health Benefit for those who didn't qualify for AISH for one reason or another.

@mark_slapinski @ABDanielleSmith If that's the case, why does it take well over a year for a non-ambulatory person to get a proper wheelchair in this province? Why is there a massive accessible housing shortage? Why haven't we even started on accessibility legislation?

@CMinchau @ABDanielleSmith There's a few leaders I would like to request a meeting with and have them tell me to my face why they think I'm disposable

@TappingGoddess People need to be aware and consider that they will be disabled at some point. So will their family members. Whether it's age, illness or injury that causes it.

@flatcoatsx3 Accessible housing across Canada is a big issue. Especially with an aging population. What makes it more challenging is the new communities, which have better accessibility, only have tall skinny houses which get very expensive when you need an indoor lift or elevator.

@rencast You live without. I know a family of 5 where a young adult sleeps in the livingroom and uses a commode beside the bed because bed & bathrooms are upstairs. They've been trying to find a suitable rental for over a year.

@Reddogchick A kid in a wheelchair can't go to their friend's house and watch movies or play video games with them, a go to the friend's birthday party that's held in their home. So even if schools are inclusive, kids grow up learning to exclude people with disabilities. It's a cycle.
