In a split second I was laying in the middle of the roundabout. I knew as soon as I landed my pelvis was fractured. Cars vs Bike never ends well for the bike. I’m devastated, for my family, for my teammates, for our sponsors. I know I’m lucky so I’ll work harder to be back better.

2nd one day and out the next, this sport can be so brutal. I’m so proud to be a part of that history and played a small part in helping chase history. It didn’t work out but Cav gave it absolutely everything. The best sprinter we have ever seen.

It’s now been two weeks since I was hit by a car as I exited a round-about here in Bathurst. At least I’m now able to get around the house with crutches but it’s still bloody painful. I’ve been wonderfully looked after by my beautiful family and friends.
