Worth remembering on Thursday. 'A former cabinet minister said: “It won’t have won us many votes. Boris doesn’t actually care about these people. He basically despises most of the human race, so that makes it quite difficult for him to sympathise.'🗳️
I've got the feeling the last 24 hours have been highly significant. The UK Government has lost control of the narrative after screwing up over the lack of PPE and their attempts to shift the blame to health workers. The Tories are in deep shit!
So
@NationCymru
has just hit 100,000 visitors today. These last few days have really shown the massive audience there is for a genuine Independent Welsh news platform produced by people that really care about our country. Diolch pawb. ✊❤️
I feel Welsh. My education was entirely Welsh medium. I don’t think it’s widely known in England how alive, vibrant and important our Welsh language is.
Interesting framing on BBC Wales to suggest the Welsh Government's cautious approach to lifting the lockdown leaves us trailing behind England somehow. Their own vox pop and comments we've had today on
@NationCymru
suggest most people support them being careful.
When
@ifanmj
launched
@NationCymru
just over four years ago, 750,000 visitors a month probably seemed a big ask. Well that's where we are now thanks to all of our supporters and everyone that visits and works on the site. Looks like a million is the next milestone. 😁
We'll that's been quite a weekend. We started with shameful accusations of racism for scrutinising the dishonesty of the First Minister and ended with one of our journalists being abused by a Labour MS. This administration certainly has an end of days vibe now.
"It was the space opened up by Plaid Cymru’s clarity that really engaged me. Their leader, Adam Price, offered a hopeful vision of a future where Wales could stand on its own two feet."
'This was a political stunt by the Tories, aided and abetted by Plaid Cymru - I have absolute confidence in Vaughan Gething.'

Thanks to everyone who has helped
@NationCymru
to our best month ever.
You can't sniff at 40,000 visitors a day last month😃
We really appreciate your support in helping us build a truly independent news platform for Wales 🙏
I've had a few conversations with journalist from outside Wales this evening. The consensus is that they are astonished at how quickly Vaughan Gething has trashed the Labour brand here.
A ministerial iMessage chat that took place during the Covid crisis on August 17 2020 proves that Vaughan Gething told lies to the Senedd ✍️
@ShiptonMartin
The testing centre at Cardiff City Stadium is empty again and despite daily testing capacity of 1,800 Public Health Wales says the number of completed tests fell from 1,301 on Friday to 775 on Saturday. This is shambolic.
I worked in Tresaith today. A lovely place but another Welsh zombie village. Only 3 houses in the main village that aren't holiday lets. This can't carry on. ☹️
There's a lot still to unpick from the Senedd election but boy does it feel good to be shot of those far-right carpetbaggers, conmen and anti-Welsh chancers. Don't let the door hit you on the arse on the way out boys.
Well, Conservative minister David TC Davies doesn't seem to be a supporter of ours. 🤔
If *you* would like to support our journalism, you can do so here 👉
Good to see that
@NationCymru
has won out again!
The Welsh Conservatives seem to have a real problem with the news media in Wales.
Maybe they need to accept the problem is them, not us.
We've now had over 6,000 listeners in less than 24 hours. 👍 Many thanks to
@cianciaran
too for helping with the recording.

Health Minister Eluned Morgan seems likely to become the new First Minister after former contender Jeremy Miles announced he would not be standing to replace Vaughan Gething ✍️
@ShiptonMartin
Appalling and inflammatory comments from a senior Labour councillor. Is intimidating the news media aligned with the new UK Labour government's programme?
These are disgusting comments from a senior Labour councillor who is in the Gething camp. We won't be silenced by nonsense like this. Desperate stuff as we head into an interesting week. Stay tuned😉
What is a nation without its own independent national media? Here at
@NationCymru
, we are making it happen, with over 1 million visitors a month.

Back us now
Eating turnips could help avoid fruit and vegetable shortages in UK supermarkets the UK Government’s Environment Secretary Therese Coffey has suggested.
We’ve been asked what it takes to become a supporter.
Honestly, it’s just a small donation each month ➡️
With more support comes more staff, raising the bar for our journalism.
🏴 We’re a news service by the people of Wales, for the people of Wales 🏴
This is even funnier when you remember that two years ago he claimed a milk frother and two coffee machines on his very generous MPs expenses.
