All good things come to an end. It’s time to hand the @IpswichTown mic over to someone new. After 40 years broadcasting my voice isn’t as strong as it was, so for health reasons I’m stepping down. It’s been great fun seeing Town get back in the top flight. #BlueArmy! 👏💪🥳

To say we are devastated at the passing of Simon is a massive understatement. He has been a huge part of our lives @BBCSuffolk We will be paying tribute on today’s Life’s a Pitch.
It is with great sadness that I’ve been asked to let all Simon’s followers know that he passed away early this morning at the age of 65 after a short battle with pancreatic/liver cancer. He was surrounded by his family, as well as the love & prayers of his many friends. (1/2)
