Last week I testified in favor of An Act Relative to Preventing Overdose Deaths and Increasing Access to Treatment, a bill I filed with @RepDylan & @JulianCyr that would create an overdose prevention center program. #OPCs save lives & every life is worth saving #MA4OPC @MAforOPC

100 years after winning the right to vote, democracy is threatened. The rights of women, Black & brown people, immigrants & our LGBTQ community continue to be chipped away. I’m hopeful that with our history of fighting for voting rights, we can reclaim the progress we achieved.

The Legislature also voted to override many of the Governor’s FY24 budget vetoes and restore funding to state programs. Among them are youth suicide prevention and peer support and MA Community Action Agencies supporting food pantries and affordable housing.
