Medicine is science and humanities, not because you work with humans (although most doctors do...), but because you should (at least strive to) learn about philosophy, religion, anthropology, geography, art to better understand and serve your patients.

The region I live in is surrounded by myths… Being from the Amazon is considered different even within my own country. While there is many times a lack of resources, professionals come up with solutions daily to problems only those who live here might consider.
