Extremely well put. This is one of the few things that is giving me hope in this terrible time. One can only hope that the true prophets will emerge - in Israel, Palestine, the US, and elsewhere - and lead us down a different path.
These activists don't represent most Jews. Neither did the Jews who went to Mississippi for Freedom Summer. Neither did the Jews who joined the ANC. People who demand justice when they have the luxury of indifference are rarely representative. That's why we remember their courage

I'm personally not interested in building a global left movement. I'm interested in strengthening global democratic solidarity, which necessitates people coming together across political, ideological and other divisions to block authoritarianism and build inclusive democracies.
