๐คฆโโ๏ธ One additional ๐คฆโโ๏ธ given that how the U.S. (president) suddenly decide(s) to call something does not mean other countries or international bodies have to go with it. This is just a money grab of Big Map in the U.S.!

@TirahAtt @BillAckman @UN @realDonaldTrump Pulling out of the UN would mean giving up the U.S. permanent spot in the security council and the U.S. veto power. If @BillAckman wants to do that, he is more than welcome.

@Truth_in_Number I had thought about similar lines but I checked: there are studies regarding transgender mouse models used to study various effects of treatments

@CricketSurfing @DianeCarolRoy1 @VoiceOfFranky I might have misinterpreted โpoor consumer choiceโ as judgment

@CricketSurfing @DianeCarolRoy1 @VoiceOfFranky โฆ up to the consumers to decide how to deal with that. Many people decide they prefer to buy local even if it costs more.

@CricketSurfing @DianeCarolRoy1 @VoiceOfFranky Free trade is about institutional barriers. Free choice is about consumers. You can have free trade where people make choices like choosing products based on origin. You are presently criticizing free choice confounding it with free trade or lack thereof.

@CricketSurfing @DianeCarolRoy1 @VoiceOfFranky Given the looming economic (if not more) threat from the U.S., it isnโt just a matter of prices. โContinue as usualโ isnโt an option. Ultimately, Canada has to aim to be as independent as feasible from the U.S. so that if the U.S. elect a capricious president we are less affected

Chances are that for the moment Trump has increased the trade deficit he complains about.
We will show tomorrow that over 70% of Canadians have altered their consumer behavior due to Trump threats. Most popular, not buying American, buying Canadian and local, avoiding travel to US. This is a massive expression of resolve.

@CricketSurfing @DianeCarolRoy1 @VoiceOfFranky You understand that the above is a consumer choice, right? And that that 70% has modified somewhat their choices but without necessarily stopping entirely buying non-Canadian โ including continuing buying American as they see fit/necessary, for example.
