Traditionally, in every society, farmers understood how to employ natural farming practices to regulate both atmospheric and soil nitrogen. All components of natural farming practices -- multi-cropping, mulching, cover crops such as legumes and animal & green manure – contribute towards fixing atmospheric nitrogen and enhancing nitrogen-fixing bacteria in the soil.
