Gordon Brown remained in the Commons as MP for his constituency for a full five-year Parliament after stepping down as Prime Minister too.
And he has remained steadfastly devoted to genuine public service ever since leaving office.
Theresa May doesn't hold a candle to Gordon.
Theresa May was a terrible prime minister and an even worse home secretary. But you can give her one thing: she had the humility to stay in the Commons after being PM. Everyone else's ego, from Blair to Johnson, was too large to withstand that sort of thing.
