This afternoon at 4:01 p.m. a small single engine plane made an emergency landing on Co Rd 81 near Wellington Ln. There were no injuries or property damage. The plane has been removed from the road. The FAA has been notified and will be conducting any further investigation.
K-9 Officer Rudi was sworn-in by Mayor Mark Steffenson at tonight's city council meeting. K-9 Rudi's handler Officer Dave Goggins was by his side! K-9 Calo and his handler, Officer Stuart were also present to recognize them.

On 9/24, members of MGPD participated in the West Metro Leg of the Law Enforcement Torch Run benefitting Special Olympics MN. The mission of the run is to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement. MGPD is proud to be a guardian of this flame of hope.

’s newest sergeant Steve Parker was sworn-in at Monday’s city council meeting. It was an honor to see his father and retired Hayward, California lieutenant pin Steve’s sergeants badge. Steve is a tremendous asset to the MGPD and our leadership team!
This new K-9 team will take Sergeant Keith Stuart and K-9 Calo’s place who are transition out of the department’s K-9 Unit upon Officer Huso and Judd’s graduation from the K-9 training academy.
