Not at all. Sponsors just want to see consistent views on successful channels; non sponsored slop is continued to upkeep views for the eventual sponsored ones. Again it all boils down to views. but you still don't even need that incentive. as long as there's a view counter, you'll have slop. If there's an audience to be gained, there will be chasers.

The slop would most certainly not stop. 1: ads still subsidize video delivery and yield Google profits; YT would continue to take revenue for themselves. 2: creators would still publish slop for other incentives (product placement/sponsors/personal brand growth/views) 3: TikTok barely pays anything yet slop flourishes regardless. Slop only stops when it no longer gains views. IE: the demand slows and public interest shifts.
