My day as a government worker who was forced to come in to work: 0700: This thing on the side of my bed went off. It started making noise and woke me up. I googled it and Google told me it was something called an “alarm clock.” It should be illegal. 0800: I’m tired. Never felt this before. I’m usually still asleep until I can wake up at the crack of 11:00am. There are actually people out and about at this time. This is unheard of. 0900: A bunch of people are in the building. I’ve never seen any of them before. 1100: I asked this guy called my “manager” where the yoga studio was. He said they didn’t have one. I’m going to sue someone. This is bullsht. 1200: Lunch. I went to the cafeteria and they didn’t have organic, farm-sourced, vegan, holistic soy chicken that was raised on a collective farm by LGBTQIA+ farmers. Words can’t describe my outrage right now. 1700 (5pm): After being denied naps, meditation time, and my own rumba-tum-tum in which to sing Kumbaya, I was finally allowed to go home. Worst part is I have to come back tomorrow. This was the worst day of my life!
