@BrightsideAbyss I have not, thank you! I used to search スラッシュアックスvideos but when Capcom said journalists couldn't play it I just gave up but this is good to see for confirmation

@Dobo30055433 Reducing other aspects of the game to promote the unique mechanics hinders the feeling. I'm used to attacks being able to be slightly guided to the direction you were holding, now it all just feels stiff UNLESS you're in focus. I don't like that it has such a strongarm effect

@ArawnFoxclaw Despite Ichinose directing Rise, there were still aspects of World in its process that were spruced by Rise. The SA's strengths all have drawbacks like its combos being used on downed monsters, power to match move & atk spd, and moderate ele damage. It can have mobility just fine

@PWARGaming @lambdoRL Right? It really does feel like a regression as opposed to an actual upgrade. My philosophy is that they should build upon and improve upon the previous formula. I don't know what happened here.

@Zexelf My favorite version of Switch Axe. It's not about the game feeling "arcadey" or "too anime", its about the feel of the weapon that people don't seem to understand. It felt so free and fluid, truly the greatest of our time

@nekorize God...multiplayer. When the monster isn't looking at you for a while and a gunner/IG main is popping every wound from 12 miles away so you can't activate your pizza cutter but you also can't charge your phials. Loooooooooooorrrrrrrd....

@xShAnGhEiGhX1 Missing a big hit during what should be a window of opportunity is a terrible feeling. Its worse than previous games where monsters getting toppled or having recovery animations after big attacks still leaves them within your range but here, Chata and Bala will fly 2 miles

@shaded_storm LOL World was something. It did a lot for expanding what Switch Axe could do from previous games. It set the foundation that Rise improved upon

@GarlandKain Each game built from and improved upon the last. World opened the door and Rise walked through when it came to so many aspects like morphing variation, mobility, gameplan etc so its weird to see how this game treats it. I do hope there's changes they haven't told us on release

@ASAG_YT Yeah if I ever broke a wound or had to follow up with an dashing elemental discharge, I would always evade forward first or morph back to sword to evade spam. Shit sucks especially when you break chata's rock arms AND stun him and he's just tumbling away

@SpectreNoodle The camera moving from really up close to really far during certain sequences like monster roars or moves just throws my eyes for a loop

@nekorize I charge the shield, get phials back, then perfect block an attack for the instant savage axe but it also feels like you're strongarmed into playing savage axe playstyle. To put it into better words, this is a comment I left on a video before.
